Antique Etruscan Majolica Begonia Leaf Dish Griffin Smith Hill GHS C1850 9"

Superb 19th century Majolica dish. Made by American firm of Griffen, Smith & Hill Co. who began majolica production in 1879. This would have likely been made in the first twenty years of their history. It’s hand painted and the worker painting this piece did a better than average job. Condition is very good. There are two noticeable chips on the edge. See photos. A. 9” long. A perfect impressed maker's mark is on the bottom.
