Framed under Glass Measures, L: 11 x H: 17in. Bonds were issued between 1780 and 1782. This bond is dated December 26, 1781, more than 235 years ago. The bond was issued to soldiers in the Connecticut Line of the Continental Army. Each was issued to a soldier who actually fought in the American Revolution., The bonds were payable in gold, silver or bills of credit. Hand-signed by John Lawrence, Treasurer for the State of Connecticut from 1769 to 1789. Rare bond has no cancellation hole signifying it has not been redeemed.
